Artisan & Collector
Christy Smith McCartney started collecting antique dolls with her mother in the late 1950's. Over the past decades she has been able to assemble a varied doll collection of interesting and rare dolls dating from the mid eighteenth hundreds to the mid nineteen hundreds.
Christy has a BA and Teaching Credential from Cal State University, Long Beach and a MA and Administrative Credential from Cal State University, Los Angeles.
Christy enjoys restoring century old houses in which she does custom tile work and stained glass windows. She decorates them with vintage antiques that are date appropriate to the houses.
